I'm back. (Still haven't unpacked)

School starts Monday. (I think)

I stayed in bed all day. (It was awesome)

Best news yet: I'm no longer crazy super broke! (Just regular grad student broke now)

So I'm in Jackson Hole, Wyoming visiting my Grandpa, aunt, uncle, and my aunt's neice...i have no idea how i'm related to her....cousin in law? sorta?? anyway, we have been having a blast. the hotel we were staying in came with different accomodations than expedia promised, so instead of a one room with 2 beds, i talked us into a 3 bedroom ski chalet with full kitchen and a king bed in each room, for the same price - oh yea, and jacuzzi bath tub included. :) crazy how far a smile and 2 years of debate will get ya.

we went and saw yellowstone and grand teton national parks - gorgeous, and we have seen buffalo (5 ft from the car...window's rolled up!), moose, candian geese, swans, and elk, but sadly no beavers or bears. :*(

we went kayacking on my inflatable kayacks from walmart, and today it started raining and then hailing while we were out! it was crazy! i was like 'ow, ow OW!!!' as the hail fell and i thought it would pop the kayack but i couldn't run under the trees because i thought it would lightening and that is not the place to be in a storm, and the water was too cold to sit floating in it. gosh, it was a dramatic, but fun day!

the only reason i'm awake is because i don't get home (san antonio) until 10:30pm on tue, and i was planning on driving to bryan the following afternoon, but i realized i have a violin lesson wed morning.....poop! so i had to jump online to confirm it. its true....my choice is either call tomorrow and cancel (never goes well...so i'll fret all night and not really sleep well), or after driving  5 hours to salt lake city utah, tomorrow, drive home to bryan that night and get in after 2am and wake up for the lesson crappy and not practiced, and miss possibly seeing manda and kim (if there's not a drug luncheon) and harpreet for lunch. aaak! i'm supposed to be on vacation. stupid real world!

anyway i was just thinking (while 1/2 asleep before the violin thing came to my conciousness)...that movie with robin williams about the people with the chip implanted in their head so at their death someone called a cutter will piece their life together, but that person will see all the bad things the dead person did.....golly that was a sad depressing wierd movie. what was it called though? a comment with the answer may let me sleep tonight.

since i've been gone, i read the summons and skipping christmas by john grissom. funny how good the first book was and crappy the latter one was - you never can tell with him anymore.....sad. i'm starting the chamber. hopefully  it will be decent. i like how the more grissoms i read, i start to recognize recurring characters - especially in the summons: the king of torts rich lawyer, the crazy divorce lawyer in clanton, the diner lady, .....fun!

bottom line....suddenly sleepless over stupid violin, but having a great time in WY. oh oh oh and i tried 2 new foods: lamb chops (aww it makes me think of the puppet now) and buffalo. night!

Yes...that's me drinking beer from a ladel with the big bottle next to it. I was bottling it while in Canada :) yea! the things i learned, eh?

this week has been huge. i got my motorcycle license over the weekend, so i can legally (and physically) drive one now. oddly enough i ended up with a date with the instructor. funny.

i finally got my fan fixed from when manda and kim came to visit (and broke it....). it took forever cuz it's a 12 ft ceiling so i decided to hire someone to do it, then decided i wanted a remote so i ended up doing it myself. ooohhh well.

oh i got rid of my home line, so don't call it. we swiched to cable internet and got rid of the digital. so sad...saving a few bucks though.

oh oh oh! i forgot! Lindsey moved in with me! She's renting my last room! it's super exciting. she just got a job at my favorite midweek bar. it's only going to be for a few months to make a few bucks...but i'll take what i can get. way fun!

life it good. i hope ya'll are all doing great too. oh one i forgot to say, i've taken a few violin lessons. it's fun. very different. i think i want to try the flute next, and maybe then the saxaphone. bye!
