So I'm not sure when people normally stop trick-or-treating, but I always felt middle school was too early to end such a fantastic mooching tradition. When I was in high school, I looked for neighborhood children to go with and really had to convince the neighbors to give me candy too. I felt discriminated against. (At least I wasn`t out egging houses or toilet papering trees!) One neighbor even insisted my three teenage friends and I dance for it. Looking back he probably wanted something different than the chick dance, and it sounds kind of wrong. What a bad, dirty neighbor.
Anyway this year, I was planning on doing what I`ve done for most of the last 10...boycotting the typical ridiculous parties and not handing out candy. Really just bumming like any other night with thoughts of what I`ll be the next year!
