Friday! yeahhh! I'm home in San Antonio....for the third weekend in a row....but that makes me cool, yea that's it. Actually my stupid fridge decided to start sparking so I had to drive it back to get fixed. I have an excuse this week. Yeah!

Ummm so I wallpapered the fourth bedroom (it's the minty color of the background here), and installed locks on my door, and made a really cute mirror! Oh and my room rocks...here's a pic of it:

You can see only 1/2 of it...there's still the tile portion that I'm standing in. Yeah! I love my room! Last weekend I went and stayed with Manda and Kim for a night and we watched the Terminal: here's us (with James too and my bunny went to the movie too!):

Then I spent the rest of the weekend with Renee and Tom and Marina and her friend and my family back in San Antonio. here's us eating the dinner Linds made:

So I guess I'll do some work now, but It was way fun! K bye!

Day 7 at work (cuz I took last Friday off). I don't really know what I'm supposed to be working on cuz my advisor had to run out for a lunch date as he was assigning me my task, and also I was fortunate enough to forget to turn my stupid timesheet in yesterday so it will be weeks before I get paid. yeah! Anytahoo.... here's an update on A&M:

Stuff hasn't been too bad here. My house is almost entirely together. I still have to decorate, clean the bathroom (mom cleaned the one I'm using), put wallpaper up in the kids room, switch shower heads (i'm putting the cool one in my shower), and hang the punching bag correctly. You'd be surprised how useful it's been during the last week. Actually I should say re-hang because the origonal way I had it I was
apparently too mean to it and it fell down yesterday....interesting.

I showed a kid my house yesterday. he's a phd candidate in chemistry (means he hasn't taken the required test yet, like me). huge dork - like the biggest, but he's intereseted and put a deposit down, so I officially have a roommate now. yeah! I have a guarenteed 375 coming in a month plus 1/2 of the utilities and he moves in Aug 1st. That's coming wayyy too soon.

Today I got my mail key - did you know you have to turn that on!? I was shocked, had to go to the post office and sign stuff and everything. I have a meeting today at 4pm so I didn't come into work until 11....and that's even a long day for what I'm required to do.

Oh, I didn't tell you about my office - It's really cool - there's two of us in here. My officemate is really nice, but she's like 35 and Chinese so she's always talking to her friends and stuff, adn they know I don't understand, but the conversation always gets quiet occasionally and they both look at me....hmm wonder what they're talking about. I can mostly understand her English, and she's set to graduate in dec so I plan on taking her desk. It faces our huuugeee window, and mine faces the wall, but i can look at the window, hehe.

Also, the first day I got here, she asked me if my hair was 'real' - I think she meant natural, so I said yeah, and she was like,,,ooohhh. (random). Then, she said 'can i ask your age?' and I was like, sure! I still don't care how old I am. I explained how she should ask women any older than me though, cuz that's considered rude. Big cultural difference that I learned about in my 'observing asian cultures' (RS300) that I took with Jess - turns out it true! Wow! K...pretending to work now!

This picture makes me laugh so much....I guess living alone I'm much more freaked out about cat burglers...but this is too literal! oh and I have a cat that visits my backyard a lot - not very cute though.

SO I'm trying to learn linear algebra for my job. Yeah!!1

So, I'm at the start of Week 2 at work and really glad Week 1 is over. Spent July 4th at home with my parents cuz there was nothing to do here in college station or rather too much to do at home (my house!)  and no one to go out with...If anyone feels like calling me, I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'll sit in my solitude cleaning the bathroom. oh, good news - i finally learned a few more tools in matlab, so life is a bit easier. yea.

(my house rocks!)
